Na stronie -- http://grandeguerre.icrc.org/en/File/Search znalazłam informacje dot. mojego dziadka, Stanisława Lewandowskiego, ur. w Kwieciszewie (Blütenau). Tutaj -- http://grandeguerre.icrc.org/en/File/De ... 10335/1/2/ jest 6 kart dotyczących Dziadka. Siódma Go nie dotyczy - odnosi się do innego Stanisława, ur. w Murczynie. Nie rozumiem tych wpisów, zwłaszcza że operowano skrótami. Wygląda to na prowadzone poszukiwania osoby, tak się domyślam. Bardzo proszę o pomoc. |

from the red cross from berlin asking informations about the soldat, 2 prisoner with the same name, he was taken prisoner at "les Hozes" it looks like 1914 1 born in 29/10/1890 and the 2 born 16/07/1888 they were at" Depot " prisoner camp from "Le Puy en Velay?" |

It was very delighted to reply to you May I ask you , I m looking for my relatives also , declared as "missing" there is no evidence found yet. The request from the Red Cross of Berlin were automatic or on behalf of the family after an offical request ? I m wondering that s may be explain that there is no report, no request in the Red Cross archives due to the family did not do any request to officials ? any ideas ? |

Thank you, Christophe, for your help. Nice work. As about my Stanisław, I don't know which way the request was sent. Probably, my grandma heard about her husband's death from his brothers in arms. Then, as a widow with children, she had to ask the government for any payment... and they (the gvt) started their office job looking for the traces of this German Army soldier... "Ordnung must sein." I think it happened like that. |
